Candalla is a valley on the Versilia side of the Apuan Alps between Camaiore and Casoli. The valley lies at the foot of Pana Mountain, which is 1221 meters high, and Gabberi Mountain, which is 1108 meters high. The rocky path of Penna Mountain is 497 meters above sea level and despite its modest height. is a great attraction for climbers.

Candalla

Along the Candalla Valley, you can admire the factories near Lombricese Creek, the ruins of mills, oil mills, pasta factories and powder mills from the 15th century. These ruins are important as evidence of working technology as they keep water inlets, stone mills and various items outside the walls.

Tip: Take a hike to the Candalla waterfall and buy an olive oil on the way directly from a small manufacturer Frantoio di Christiani Giulia / Camaiore.
